What Does The M. Carter Photography Wedding Experience Look Like?

Step 1 - Wedding Consultation

Picking the perfect photographer for such an important day can be challenging to say the least. Booking a wedding consultation will allow you to get to know me, while also seeing if I am the right man for the job!

Step 2: Pick The Perfect Package

Seems like I'm the right fit for the job, what's next? Following your consultation, you will receive a copy of my wedding price sheet for you to review at your convenience. Of course if questions arise, do not hesitate to contact me.

Step 3: The Paperwork

You have reviewed everything and found the perfect package to have me as your photographer, now what? Once you have selected your wedding package, I will send over a formal proposal which includes: a contract and invoice for you to pay the deposit.

Note: The deposit is 50% of the total package cost. The remaining balance will come due 72-hours after your wedding.

Step 4: Client Check-Ins

Yay you want me as your photographer! Leading up to your wedding day I like to have a minimum of 3 check-in calls. This allows me to confirm details such as family formals, desired shot list, timeline, and anything else I need to know!

Step 5: The Day Has Come!

On your wedding day you can expect me to be as involved as I can without affecting my ability to capture your day perfectly. My goal is to leave your wedding as your friend who happened to have had a camera in his hand all day. If I can lend a helping hand to ensure your day goes perfect, I will do just that.

Step 6: Time to Edit Your Photos

Congratulations! The day was a success and the honeymoon is quickly approaching. While you are enjoying being Mr. and Mrs., I will be hard at work editing your photos. Within 1 week you can expect your highlight gallery. Over the next 3-6 weeks I will send you periodic updates as I complete your final gallery.

Final Step: Share With The World

If you haven't already, it's time to share your big day with the world! I love seeing the photos that couples choose from their gallery,
tagging me is the easiest way to accomplish this!

Everything about working with Marcus is LOVELY — from the first phone call, to our engagement photos, to our elopement photos. I was initially anxious about hiring a photographer, especially since (1) I had no idea where to start and (2) we were eloping so these were going to be *the* thing to mark the day. He was my first phone call and within 5 minutes of talking to him I was sold. I only had two broad (vague) ideas for what I wanted and he took them and turned them into plans I could be excited about.


Ultimately, our engagement photos involved a last minute location change and our elopement photos ended up needing a schedule change. Marcus was nothing but responsive and encouraging through everything. He was ready with new ideas and managed to keep me excited when I'd have otherwise been really stressed. I’m not sure anyone else would have been so flexible while also staying so warm and kind.


And of course, the photos are gorgeous. He manages to talk to you and make you laugh and feel like you’re just hanging out while also capturing a thousand (literally) photos. The last time my husband or I had professional photos taken we were probably in high school, but Marcus was a pro at making us feel comfortable. His eye is great and he sees things we’d have never thought of, to beautiful results. I’ve already told my husband when we need photos for anything in the future, we’re calling Marcus.

How Can We Order Prints & Albums?

You will have the option to order both individual photos and wedding albums directly from your online gallery. Every wedding package includes a minimum of 10% off all print purchases for you, your family, and your friends!

What If I Want to modify your package to fit my needs?

My wedding packages have been carefully crafted to provide maximum value to all my couples. However, during your consultation, if we determine that modifications are required we will discuss those.
